Lesson Program

The focus of our lesson program is to teach each student about proper horse care and the skill of riding in a safe, positive environment.

Lessons for all ages and riding levels:

Meadowood Farm offers lessons for all ages, children through adults, and all skill levels, beginning through advanced. Lessons are provided on Academy horses or on your own horse in training. Riding lesson students have opportunities to participate in horse shows on Academy horses. We specialize in English (saddle seat) riding, but also provide Western lessons and driving lessons.

Appropriate attire for lessons:

  • Be sure to wear jeans, slacks, riding pants or jodhpurs (no shorts).
  • Full cover shoes or boots are required (a heel is preferred - no sandals).
  • Gloves are also recommended but not required for first time riders/drivers.
  • You may bring your own safety helmet. If you do not have a helmet, you may use one provided by Meadowood Farm.
